After posting the below comment I received a call from customer service for Amazon.com. He was able to address my concerns and informed me that my Milton S448 Tire Tread Depth Gauge was received today and will be processed for shipping today or tomorrow and that I should receive the unit some time next week. I was unaware that the unit was not in stock when I ordered it but I was made aware that it is clearly stated on their web-site that additional processing time is needed. I made my payment through Amazon payments and it was explained that that was why my credit card was charged so soon, without the unit being shipped yet. Overall I would say that I am satisfied with the response of the customer service at Amazon.com and that my initial displeasure has been abated. I ordered a Milton S448 Tire Tread Depth Gauge and I still have not received a tracking number on the order, because it has not shipped yet. They charged my credit card rather quickly though. They had the lowest price I could find, but their processing is very slow and I'm not sure the slightly lower price on Milton S448 Tire Tread Depth Gauge was worth the extra long wait.
